He's crawling! About a week ago he took his first couple crawls (we got it on video :) ) and now he is moving. Yep my life has changed FOREVER!!! I have to watch him very closely..he will try to dive off of the couch to the animals and has an attraction for my sandals on the floor (yuk!) He is eating all sorts of things now. Chicken, cheese and cream cheese are a few things that have been added to his eating list. At his 9 month check up he weighed 22 pounds!!! He was 70% for his weight, 80% for his height and 90% for the size of his head! He's all brains! Mason is still sleeping great. He has started to miss his afternoon nap I think b/c he just wants to crawl but then he gets VERY tired around 6pm. I seriously cannot believe that he is already 9 months old! Where has time gone?!

Mason is an amazing baby! He has been giving us the most beautiful little smirks lately...they literally melt your heart! His eyes are starting to focus on our faces when we are holding him and he makes some 'cooing' sounds at us. His head is very strong and he can already hold it up! He is a great eater and by day 6 he was already back up to his birth weight. The nights are the only struggle that we are faced with right now. He is still nocturnal :) and sleeps during the day and keeps us up for a good part of the night. Oh well...someday we'll get sleep :)

Mason is still having trouble grasping the sleeping at night thing :) and we are having trouble grasping the not sleeping at night thing! We are trying to work on keeping him up more during the day to hopefully switch him around. Otherwise he is doing great. He is now making eye contact (which I love) and he is starting to smile at you. Although most of his smiles are still made while he's half asleep after he's eaten...it is pretty cute! He is still eating great..every 2 hours or so. At his last doctors appointment he weighed 10lbs 9oz!!!! His weight gain is awesome! We are loving every second of being parents (even the tired ones)!

8 Months Old!
Ok so I'm a tad late on this one...opps. He' still 8 months old though..just almost 9! :) Ok so Mason is still doing great! He now has 2 top teeth as well as his 2 bottom teeth. He is exploring 'real' food now. At Bryce's birthday he tried Melon for the first time and loved it. He also tried Asparagus at The Garcia's. He loved that as well. Although it did make his pee pee stinky!!!! He also had his first Biter Biscuit last week. He LOVED it. I have to closely monitor him eating it though because he likes to bite off pieces. Mason is trying SO hard to crawl. He now gets up on all fours but hasn't figured out how to move yet. We have seen Bryce a couple of times now and Mason and Bryce both get super excited to see each other. Bryce calls Mason, Macey. I love it!! Bryce also gives Mason loves and shares his toys with him. I know it's hard for Bryce though because he wants Mason to actually play with him...soon enough and they will be an unstoppable pair! Mason is so funny when he meets new people. He gets VERY shy and serious and sort of sizes them up for a while before he warms up. Once he warms up though he is a goof. Mason laughs and smiles all of the time. Mason is also very cautious when it comes to touching new objects. He will go to grab it then hesitate and pull back, then go at it again and maybe touch it with his pointer finger then pull back. This can go on for a bit and sometimes he will finally decide it's ok to touch or other times he will pull back completely and not want to touch it. It's VERY amusing to watch! He takes after his Mother in that area! On the other hand Mason is fearless when it comes to the swing. He loves it so much and has no fear of how high you push him..of course we don't push it very high. We are enjoying this new exploring stage the he is going through..it's amazing watching a human find all of these new objects for the first time. It truly sheds a new light on life!
