Mason is an amazing baby! He has been giving us the most beautiful little smirks lately...they literally melt your heart! His eyes are starting to focus on our faces when we are holding him and he makes some 'cooing' sounds at us. His head is very strong and he can already hold it up! He is a great eater and by day 6 he was already back up to his birth weight. The nights are the only struggle that we are faced with right now. He is still nocturnal :) and sleeps during the day and keeps us up for a good part of the night. Oh well...someday we'll get sleep :)

Mason is still having trouble grasping the sleeping at night thing :) and we are having trouble grasping the not sleeping at night thing! We are trying to work on keeping him up more during the day to hopefully switch him around. Otherwise he is doing great. He is now making eye contact (which I love) and he is starting to smile at you. Although most of his smiles are still made while he's half asleep after he's eaten...it is pretty cute! He is still eating great..every 2 hours or so. At his last doctors appointment he weighed 10lbs 9oz!!!! His weight gain is awesome! We are loving every second of being parents (even the tired ones)!

Mason's First Trip to the Beach!!!! 04/12/2008










This last week-end we decided to head out to Stinson because the weather was beautiful! We got there pretty late though but it was still an unbelievable 81 degrees!!!! It was spectacular!!! Mason didn't really care for the sand on his feet although he wasn't too upset about it but Justin dipped his feet in the water and he definitely got upset about that!!! :) We had to do it though!!!!! It was a beautiful drive and a great day! It was nice to go out there for the first time as a family....I couldn't ask for more!!!

6 Months Old!!!







I honestly can not believe that our baby is 6 months old!!!! He has changed SO much!!! This month alone he has rolled over (belly to back) twice (the pic on here of him in his crib is right after he rolled over for the first time..he was SO proud of himself!), he can now sit up on his own, he babbles ALL the time, he laughs out loud without being tickled AND he got his first tooth (on April 4th)!!!! He still absolutely loves his jumper (he's in it right now as we speak :) ) He is still sleeping great (10 hours in his own bed and 2 in ours). He has a couple new silly habits...he grunts all the time! Sometimes he will grab his thumb or finger and pull on it and grunt! It's hilarious. He also does a fake cough :) I read in one of my books that a lot of the time babies will get a little cough while teething but then they will continue to do it just because they saw that it got a reaction and to also test out their vocal cords...well he continued it and it's pretty cute! He now grabs for everything in site. The remote, the dog, the phone...anything! And once he gets what he's grabbing for it goes straight to his mouth....the remote, the phone...the dog..oh wait not the dog (YET!) Well...Justin and I are just amazed by his ability to learn and he is literally a sponge! It is so much fun to watch! We are enjoying every second of this age! Six months is a great stage...aren't they all though!!!!!!
